Cleaning and maintenance:

The brass stand is made of solid brass and will patina over time. You can easily remove candle residue and yellow oxidation by placing the brass rod in warm water with a little citric acid and a drop of detergent. After you have removed the candle residue, you can polish the rod with brass polish to remove oxidation or small spots and restore the shiny look.
